This ''must'' be the wackiest idea on the [[LondonAccord:London Accord|London Accord]] [http://www.longfinance.net/programmes/london-accord.html website], but also perhaps one of the most intriguing and plausible. An obsession with the fungi kingdom began at a very young age, mostly related to their outstanding contributions to casseroles, stews, quiches, salads etc. Then, a few months ago I spotted a lecture on TED by Paul Stamets (a mycologist) about how mushrooms could 'save the planet' [http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/paul_stamets_on_6_ways_mushrooms_can_save_the_world.html].

As much faith as I have in 'shrooms and Paul, I don't quite think these organisms could rid us of inequality or unethical decisions. Although mushrooms ''could'' (and in my humble opinion '''should''') play a pivotal role in abating industrially induced change of the biosphere and its rammifications such as drought, soil erosion, pollution and disease.
