Toronto - Quick Summary
GFCI currently describes Toronto as a Global Leader which is both broad and deep. It has particular strength's in professional services followed by wealth management/private banking and asset management. Since GFCI1 Toronto has consistantly closed the gap to leaders London and New York, but has not shown the same level of improvement as some Middle-Eastern and Asian centres (such as Qatar). However, it has shown slightly stronger improvements in competitiveness than European centres - such as Zurich - and now garners a similar rating. There is however a discepancy between non-North American respondents and those from the continent, with higher internal ratings boosting the average. Toronto remains a Top 3 centre in North America, only just behind Chicago.
