GFCI currently describes Chicago as a Global Leader which is both broad and deep. It has particular strength's in banking, insurance and professional services. Since GFCI1 Chicago has consistantly closed the gap to leaders London and New York, but has not shown the same level of improvement as some Asian centres (such as Shanghai). However, it has shown slightly stronger improvements in competitiveness than European centres - such as Zurich - which started at a similar level. Chicago remains a Top 10 centre.
