Recyling has become second nature for many people. In some parts of the world recycling is part of a daily process - be it sorting through waste on a rubbish heap, reusing oil drums to build a makeshift stove or throwing plastic bottles into the approproate bin to be collected by the local council. The film Manufactured Landscapes captures the irony of recycling - a significant amount of the bottles, computers, furniture, bags and other refuse we neatly place in the correct recycling bin ends up being shipped to China (or another equally unfortunate place) and is "recycled" there.

But there are a myriad of ways that recycling can be effective. One of the most innovative ideas I've heard of (at a Real Time club event) was a new receptacle for milk - read all about it at Green Bottle.com
